LGBTQ-owned businesses continue to thrive in Central Florida, even amidst opposition. Collins Creative, a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted costume company, is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on Saturday, February 24, 2024, to celebrate the grand opening of their new Creative Studio in Kissimmee.
Collins Creative's (CC) new expansion includes a nearly 3K square foot building with eight rooms dedicated to creative concepts, consultation, sewing, and imagination. What started as a customization project for local Drag Queen attire in 2017, has boomed into a licensed costume company that has produced hundreds of costumes for known theme parks, cruise lines, central Florida theater companies, local production shows, RuPaul's Drag Race Live in Las Vegas and other winning looks for reality television and Films.

We strive to celebrate and embrace diverse identities, providing unique and personalized costumes that reflect each person's authenticity,” said Joshua Collins, Owner of Collins Creative. “Our commitment extends to collaborating with theme parks to deliver captivating and inclusive experiences, where all guests can fully immerse themselves in the magic of self-expression and joy. Together, we aim to create a world of imagination where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated.”
CC is committed to LGBTQIA excellence and is one of the many voices that has fought for their community rights here in Florida. The Employees at CC (who happen to be local drag performers) spearheaded an emergency meeting during the 2023 Legislative Session. They helped lead hundreds of Florida drag queens to march to Tallahassee in opposition of the legislation. Collins Creative is dedicated not only to its clients but protecting the rights of everyone in the entertainment community.
